"Rush towards forgiveness!"

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Nothing good or bad happens to anyone without the permission of Allah. No one does or gets anything good without His Mercy. All praise is for Allah, the Most High, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace be upon all the Prophets of the past as well as our Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam).

"Rush towards forgiveness!"

Assalamu 'alalikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Surely a time is near, when the angle will appear. As saying "Your time is over!". Then the veil will be lifted, and the soul will realise "There is no might as His Might". Even the Firown (Pharaoh) realised the Greatness of Allah, when he was drowning and said: "I believe that there is no god but Him in Whom the Children of Israel believed and I have become one of the Muslims." Then it was said to the Pharaoh: "Now you believe! But a little while before you were disobedient and one of the mischief-makers! We shall save your body this day, so that you may become a sign for the succeeding generations; indeed many among mankind are heedless of Our signs! (Al-Qur'an: 10:90-92)". No doubt this world is like the sand-houses, which children make at the beach until a powerful wave of water gushes and levels everything out.. all gone! Allah says: "...The life of this world is nothing but an illusion (deception)." [Hadiid-57:20]. Therefore, the real and everlasting life is yet to start, and successful will be those who prepare for that.

{ Say: "The angel of death (Izra'il) who is assigned for you will carry off your souls and bring you back to your Lord." ¤ If only you could visualize when the criminals will hang their heads before their Lord saying: "Our Lord! We have seen and we have heard; please send us back to the world and we will do good deeds: we are now convinced." ¤ In response to that, it will be said: "Had We so willed, We could have given every soul its guidance. But My word which I had said has been fulfilled, that I shall fill hell with jinns and men all together." ¤ Now taste the reward for your forgetting the meeting of this Day - We too have forgotten you now - taste the everlasting punishment in consequence of your misdeeds." } Al-Quran [Sajdah - 32:11-14]

Is it possible to have peace and order in a country that has no penalties for the criminals? Punishments are introduced to stop the crimes. The Creator, Allah, likes Justice and Discipline, and He has also given some freedom to the humans and jinns. But they will soon be judged on their conduct. Are not the sun, moon, physical laws, planetary systems etc well disciplined? Allah says "Are they looking for a religion other than the Deen (religion and Way of Life) of Allah knowing well that everything in the heavens and in the earth, willingly or unwillingly, has submitted to Him? And to Him they shall all return." [3:83]. We will soon be judged on our intentions and actions.

Allah gives good news and warning: "Inform My devotees that I am indeed the Forgiving, the Merciful; but at the same time My punishment is also the most painful punishment." [Hijr-15, 49-50] and in another ayaat He warns: " None can punish as Allah will punish on that Day, and none can bind as He will bind." [Fajr - 89:25-26]. Such warnings do prevent the believers from transgressing their limits. Allah says: "Allah has revealed the most beautiful message, a Book consistent in its verses yet repeating its teachings in different ways. Those who fear their Lord are filled with awe when they hear it, their skins and their hearts become pliant to the remembrance of Allah. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides with it whom He pleases. But he to whom He confounds shall have none to guide him." [Zumar - 39:23].

فاما من طغى ¤ واثر الحياة الدنيا ¤ فان الجحيم هي الماوى ¤ واما من خاف مقام ربه ونهى النفس عن الهوى ¤ فان الجنة هي الماوى

"then he who had rebelled and preferred the life of this world shall have his abode in hell. But he who had feared standing before his Lord and curbed his evil desires shall have his home in paradise." Al-Quran [Naazi'aat - 79:37-41]

ان الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب لهم مغفرة واجر كبير

"As for those who fear their Lord, although they have not seen Him, shall have forgiveness and a great reward." Al-Quran [Mulk - 67:12].

No doubt we are weak and sinful, but we are also afraid of His punishment. So, where is the salvation? Allah says: "...who can forgive sins except Allah?..." [3:135].
Allah does not like to punish His Creatures. He has given them the guidance, freedom and the way to forgiveness. If someone sincerely repents to Him, He is the Most Forgiving and Merciful. In a hadith, Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said that { the devil said, "By Thy might, my Lord, I shall continue to lead Thy servants astray as long as their spirits are in their bodies." The Lord, Who is Great and Glorious, replied, "By My might, glory and exalted station, I shall continue to pardon them as long as they ask My Forgiveness." [Tirmidhi 2339, Abu Sa'id] }. And in the Quran Allah says:

قل ياعبادي الذين اسرفوا على انفسهم لاتقنطوا من رحمة الله ان الله يغفر الذنوب جميعا انه هو الغفور الرحيم

{ Allah says: "O My servants who have transgressed against their souls, do not despair of Allah's mercy, for Allah forgives all sins. It is He Who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. } Al-Quran [Zumar - 39:53]

{ O believers! Turn to Allah in sincere repentance. It may well be that your Lord will remove from you your sins and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. On that Day Allah will not humiliate the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will shine in front of them and on their right, and they will say: "Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and grant us forgiveness, for You have power over all things." } Al-Quran [Tahreem - 66:8]

Boastful is the one who does not ask Allah for forgiveness. Even Muhammadur Rasul Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam), who is Ma'soom, used to ask Allah for forgiveness more than 70 times a day! Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: "Allah likes most two drops: One of tears due to fear of Allah and a drop of blood shed for the sake of Allah...." [Tirmidhi, Abu Umamah]. And said: "If, through fear of Allah, tears--even to the extent of a fly's head--fall from any believer's eyes and drop on some part of his cheek, he will be kept away from Hell by Allah." [Tirmidhi, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud]. Therefore, rush towards Allah's forgiveness and do not despair of Allah's mercy, for Allah forgives all sins! We don't know if we will ever get another opportunity, even another minute to repent. Let's save ourselves from Allah's wrath and punishment, right now in this month of forgiveness and mercy. We should also forgive other people so may be Allah will forgive us on the day when our parents, relatives and friends will turn away from us. Remember: "None can punish as Allah will punish on that Day, and none can bind as He will bind." [Fajr-89:25-26].

" Turn in repentance to your Lord, and submit to Him before there comes to you the scourge: for then, there shall be none to help you. Follow the best way that is revealed to you by your Lord before the scourge comes to you all of a sudden while you do not even perceive it. Lest someone should say: 'Alas! I neglected my duty towards Allah and I was one of those who mocked at His revelations." Al-Quran [Zumar - 39:54-56]

"..Our Lord! We have wronged our souls. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we shall certainly be of the losers. " [7:23]

On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: " Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it." [Tirmidhi]

فسبح بحمد ربك واستغفره انه كان توابا

"So glorify your Lord with His praises, and pray for His forgiveness: surely He is ever ready to accept repentance." Al-Quran [Nasr-110:3]

"Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, He is free from what they ascribe to Him!
Peace be on the Messengers, and praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds." Al-Quran [37:180-182]

wa Assalamu 'alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

ibn Adam
